Kol Mikaelson died in the season six finale of The Vampire Diaries, after being stabbed in the heart by Damon Salvatore. His death was a turning point for the show, and for the character of Damon.

In season 1, episode 22, titled “Founder’s Day,” Kol is killed by Elijah after he tries to hurt Damon.
Kol Mikaelson died in the second season of The Vampire Diaries. He was killed by Klaus, his own brother, in an act of revenge. This occurred after Kol tried to kill Klaus’ human girlfriend, Caroline.

Season 10 of the CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” was full of twists and turns, and one of the biggest was the death of Kol Mikaelson.
Kol, played by Nathaniel Buzolic, was killed off in episode 12, “Angels Among Us.” The character had been a staple on the show since its first season, appearing in a total of 77 episodes.
His death came as a shock to many fans, as it seemed like he might finally be turning a corner and becoming a good guy. However, in the end, he sacrificed himself to save Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Kat Graham).
Kol’s death was a devastating blow to the Mikaelson family, and to fans of the show. He will be missed by many.
